In today’s Intellectual Technology market place, businesses are using highly complex computer systems and programs to generate up to the minute reports that permit them the greatest advantage in running  and managing  their day to day business strategies.

At the same time, they are trying to hire the best possible people to work on these systems and use the packaged  or custom developed software programs to gain a business advantage.  However, employers are finding out that their existing personnel (as well as new hires) do not have the skill sets necessary to do the job as it is defined today, this has resulted because they do not have a good understanding of the specific systems and applications and business processes that their business is using.  Some of the  reasons that have caused this problem to surface are:

  1. Existing personnel did not need experience with computers and applications when initially hired.

  2. Employers have not provided training for them on the business applications needed to correctly perform the job.

  3. New hires understand the applications but do not understand the business processes of the company.

Six reasons why it is beneficial to provide ongoing training to you employees.

  • Save Time.

    •  Users will become productive immediately.

  • Save Money.

    • It is usually less expensive to have formal  classes  (either on or off-site) for users than it is to have them learn software on their own.

  • Do it the right way.

    • Users will learn the correct way to use soft  ware rather than developing non-standard “work-arounds.”

  • Keep employees happy.

    • Employees view software training as a valuable benefit and appreciate efforts to keep them highly skilled and informed.

  • Make users self-sufficient.

    • Users will be able to answer many of their   own questions and  will require less outside support..

  • Take advantage of the latest technology.

    • Software is constantly evolving. And while many packages are more powerful, they are not necessarily easier to use. To take advantage of  these advances, your users need to be kept well informed.
